Short, furry, and notoriously grumpy – a wombat is probably not the first creature you’d associate with cave diving.

But since 2019 the koala’s ground-dwelling cousin has been the mascot for a different type of cave explorer. A group who have embraced science, technology, and a propensity for getting very muddy to discover new underwater caves and extend older ones.
